Your Financial GPS

Many people know where they are going for their next vacation — they can tell you their flight number, the resort they are staying in, and all of the details of their plan. However if you asked them for that kind of clarity on what they want their future to look like financially and how they plan to get there it is often very uncomfortable. They don’t know. I like to say that they do not have a clear FINANCIAL GPS.

You might’ve heard this before

“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?’ said Alice.
‘That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,’ said the Cat.
‘I don’t much care where -‘ said Alice.
‘Then it doesn’t matter which way you go,’ said the Cat.
‘- so long as I get SOMEWHERE,’ Alice added as an explanation.
‘Oh, you’re sure to do that,’ said the Cat, ‘if you only walk long enough.”

This conversation between the Cheshire Cat and Alice in Lewis Carroll’s classic Alice In Wonderland reminds me of how important it is to know where you are going in life. If you don’t know where you are going it is easy to wander about life aimlessly, getting nowhere. Of course, no one likes to feel like this — directionless, purposeless, empty.

Keep going down the rabbit hole

Find out where you are with your Financial GPS

There are a lot of reasons why people do not know their Financial GPS:

  • They have never had anyone help them identify WHERE THEY ARE AT
  • They don’t think they should be concerned about WHERE THEY ARE AT
  • They are so busy with their day-to-day life, that they don’t know WHERE THEY ARE AT

Have you ever tried using your GPS on your phone when your phone could not connect to a service signal?  When that happened to me, my GPS could not tell me how to get where I wanted to go because it could not pinpoint WHERE I WAS AT.

You need a plan

Similarly, if you do not know where you are at financially then it is hard to craft a plan — a turn by turn plan to get you to your destination.  So a GPS asks you to provide two pieces of information — ‘enter START and DESTINATION.’  How can you have a clear plan of how to get to the wealthy future you desire if you don’t start off with a clear idea of where you are now?  This is why it is important to have your FINANCIAL GPS.

But you also have to know WHERE YOU WANT TO GET TO as the Cat said to Alice.  A lot of times people struggle with this because they have been told by financial experts that you can’t be too specific, don’t be unrealistic, and other ‘cross your fingers’ kind of advice.  However when people are guided through the simple exercise of writing out the future they desire it can ignite hope, certainty and excitement.  They just need some guidance. If you want a FREE guided tour to identify your financial destination click below.

“But I don’t have enough money to meet with a financial planner”

I can’t afford a financial advisor

“But I don’t have enough money to meet with a financial planner,” people say. “I can’t afford a financial advisor — they charge too much,” others say. This makes sense. Meeting with a financial planner will often require you to provide extensive paperwork and can involve expensive fees. However this is not necessary to get your financial GPS.  What most people need initially is to get a reading — they want their temperature taken, not surgery. They would like to start with having their financial GPS laid out in a simple way on one piece of paper — no spreadsheets or graphs necessary!

Thousands of people have discovered  their FINANCIAL GPS like this using More With David’s simple questionnaire process. It takes you less than 10 minutes to fill out, requires no paperwork, and is 100% free. Wouldn’t you like to have a financial team with 100s of years of collective experience giving you a clear idea of your financial GPS?

Imagine the sense of direction and confidence having your Financial GPS would give you.
